New York Liberty News Release
NEW YORK - The New York Liberty will host its first-ever Battle of the Boroughs and Sneakerhead Night on Saturday, July 23 when the team takes on the reigning WNBA Champion Chicago Sky at 7 p.m. ET at Barclays Center.
The night will feature a one-of-a-kind gameday experience for fans including a complimentary sneaker cleaning station presented by Jason Markk, as well as a fan arrival path photo station presented by Nike on the main concourse. The game presentation will feature special Battle of the Boroughs and Sneakerhead elements, highlighted by an in-arena sneaker camera throughout the game.
Additionally, the team is partnering with Soles4Souls, a nonprofit dedicated to turning unwanted clothing and shoes into opportunity, on a sneaker drive. Fans can bring new or gently used sneakers to Barclays Center on Saturday and donate at a Soles4Souls donation box on the concourse. All donors will receive two complimentary tickets to the Sunday, July 31 game against the Phoenix Mercury.
Fans can purchase tickets at seatgeek.com/nyliberty, and the first 2,000 in attendance will receive an exclusive Nike "Liberty City" poster and custom shoelaces. For more information about the Liberty's 2022 theme night games, please visit nyliberty.com.
