Atlanta Snaps Aces' Three-Game Winning Streak in 92-76 Victory

LAS VEGAS, NV - Las Vegas had its three-game winning streak snapped at home Tuesday evening as the Atlanta Dream (12-14) led wire to wire in a 92-76 victory over the Aces (18-8).

KEY RUNS

First Quarter (Atlanta 35, Las Vegas 18)

The Dream scored 15 of the first 18 points of the game. Atlanta made 14 of 21 shot from the field, including 6 of 7 from three-point range. Las Vegas went 5 for 16 including 5 for 11 from distance. Tiffany Hayes went 5 for 5 from the field for 11 points.

Second Quarter (Atlanta 52, Las Vegas 36)

Atlanta's lead vacillated between 15 and 20 points the entire quarter. The Dream outscored the Aces 17-0 on fast break points in the half, and 24-6 in the paint.

Third Quarter (Atlanta 70, Las Vegas 56)

Las Vegas sliced the Dream lead to six, 58-52, thanks to a 10-2 run midway through the period. Atlanta countered with a 12-2 run of their own to push their advantage back to 16.

Fourth Quarter (Atlanta 92, Las Vegas 76)

The Dream extended their lead to 23 early in the quarter, but Las Vegas had one more run left in them, outscoring Atlanta 18-4 to reduce the lead to single digits with 2:33 remaining. Atlanta scored 9 of the final 11 points to secure the win.

Las Vegas scored 21 points off of 17 Atlanta turnovers, while the Dream scored 15 points off of 12 Aces miscues.

The Dream made 51.6 percent of their shots compared to 36.6 percent for the Aces which is Las Vegas' lowest field goal percentage of the year.

The Dream outscored the Aces 34 to 22 in the paint, and 17 to 1 on fast break points.

Las Vegas made 10 of 35 three-pointers while the Dream went 15 for 24.

Atlanta out-rebounded Las Vegas 40-28.

GAME NOTES

Kelsey Plum extended her streak of consecutive games with at least one made three-pointer to 33, which is the longest active streak in the WNBA.

Kelsey Plum's 3 three-pointers give her 83 on the year, breaking the franchise single-season record of 80 originally set by current Aces Head coach Becky Hammon.

Kelsey Plum scored in double figures for the 33rd straight game and the 90th time in her career (17 points).

A'ja Wilson scored in double figures for the 24th time this season and the 132nd time in her career (22 points). It was her 13th game of 20 or more points this year and the 67th of her career, which sets the franchise record for most 20 point games in a career. She also added 10 rebounds for her 14th double-double of the season, and the 51st of her career, which is two back of the franchise mark of 53 held by current Aces General Manager Natalie Williams.

Tiffany Hayes scored 31 points on the night, which is the third time this season that Las Vegas has allowed an opposing player to score 30 or more.

Las Vegas allowed Atlanta to make 62.5 percent of their three-pointers, which is the highest percentage by an Aces opponent this year, and the second highest since the team moved to Las Vegas.
