New York Liberty News Release

NEW YORK, NY - As part of WNBA Breast Health Awareness Week, the New York Liberty will host "Breast Health Awareness Night," presented by Delta Air Lines, on Tuesday, August 27 at Prudential Center. The Liberty will take on the Minnesota Lynx at 7 p.m. and the first 4,000 fans will receive a pink and white Liberty cap courtesy of Delta.

A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales, as well as various fundraising activities throughout the game will benefit The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), a non-profit organization dedicated to funding innovative clinical and translational breast cancer research.

"We are proud to once again partner with Delta Air Lines in support of Breast Health Awareness Night," said Dave Howard, president, MSG Sports. "This is a great opportunity to help raise funds and awareness for an important health initiative that affects the lives of so many people in our community."

"Breast cancer awareness is a cause that is important to the Delta family, as unfortunately, it is a disease that has touched both our employees and our customers," said Gail Grimmett, Delta's senior vice president - New York. "Since 2005, Delta's employees, customers and their friends and families have raised $6.7 million for BCRF, with more than $1.75 million raised last year alone. Delta's contributions have funded the vital work of 18 different research projects over the years in the pursuit of eradicating breast cancer. We're proud to partner with the Liberty to continue the fight."

Fans are encouraged to visit the main concourse to participate in a silent auction for the chance to win limited edition items, such as autographed authentic game worn Liberty jerseys, Delta tickets, sneakers, concert tickets, WNBA team jerseys and more.

The team will also host a live pre-game auction to give fans the opportunity to win several exclusive prizes and experiences, including traveling to a Liberty road game, attending Knicks practice with Assistant General Manager Allan Houston or playing a game of "HORSE" with a Liberty player of their choice.

During halftime of the game, the Liberty and Delta will recognize the strength and perseverance of breast cancer survivors in an on-court ceremony.
