Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The IronPigs (16-26) play Game 2 of a four-game series against the South Division's first-place Charlotte Knights (23-17) at Coca-Cola Park... With a 3-1 win last night, the Pigs are now on a season-high, four-game winning streak -- which started with a three-game sweep in Syracuse from May 18-20. The Pigs, who are currently enjoying their best 10-game stretch of the season (7-3), have gone 10-6 since starting 6-20 through May 4... The Knights -- the White Sox top affiliate -- fell to 2-2 on their on their seven-game, North Division road trip. Still, the Knights remain 9-4 in their last 13 affairs, a span that started with a season-high, five-game winning streak from May 9-13 (which immediately followed a season-high, five-game skid that dropped them to 14-13)... The Pigs have won four straight contests over the Knights dating back to June 17.
RHP Jason Berken (2-2, 4.99) will start for LHV against RHP Chris Beck (3-1, 3.43).
Tonight is a Friday Night Fireworks, presented by Coors Light... First Pitch is at 7:05 p.m.
