TONIGHT'S GAME: In the final regular-season game of the season, the second-place IronPigs (84-58) play the finale of a three-game series against the third-place Rochester Red Wings (81-62) at Coca-Cola Park... With a 5-4 loss last night, the series is now even at 1-1. The Wild Card winning Pigs have still won six of their last nine games and remain 32-13 record since the All-Star Break... The Red Wings -- Minnesota's top affiliate -- have won four of their last six games and are 13-5 in their last 18 contests... The Pigs are 4-0-2 in six series against the Wings this season... First-Pitch is at 1:35 p.m.
- Rubberband Men: LHV is 6-1 in "rubber matches" and 29-16 in series finales this season.
POSTSEASON PIGGIES!: The Pigs are headed to the IL postseason for the first time since 2011 -- when they won the Wild Card and swept North Division champion Pawtucket in 3 G before losing the Governors' Cup Finals to Columbus in 4 G... The Pigs will host North Division Champion SWB for Games 1 and 2 of the first round (best of five) on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively, before the series shifts to PNC Field on Friday... SWB has won 6 consecutive games.
- SWB clinched the North title Thursday -- its 7th in 10 years since affiliating with NYY in 2007.
- Philadelphia's last Triple-A league champion in 1983 when the Portland Beavers won the PCL.
- Manager Dave Brundage now has made the postseason 9 times in 18 seasons... and has won
3 league championships -- including an IL title with the 2007 Richmond Braves.
WITH A WIN TODAY, THE PIGS WILL...: - Finish the regular season at their high-water mark of 27 games above .500 (84-57 on 9/3).
- The Pigs will finish with 85 wins -- the highest total for a Phillies' AAA affilaite since 2002 (91-53).
- Win this series against ROC, heading into the postseason undefeated in their last 8 sets (2-0-5).
- Finish 3-2 in September and tie franchise record with 4 straight winning months (April-July 2011).
THE BIG PHIL: Last night, RHP Phil Klein (N/D, 6.0 IP, 6 H, R, ER, 3 BB, 5 K) left up, 2-1; but the bullpen denied his bid to tie Jake Thompson's franchise record of winning 5 straight starts. Still, in his last 5 GS, he's 4-0, 1.03, 5 QS (35.0 IP, 20 H, 4 ER, 7 BB, 41 K)... The 27-year-old now owns an average of 10.5 K/9 IP (65.1/76) and a 5.8 K/BB (76/13) ratio... In his Triple-A career (2014-16), he's 7-2, 2.14 in 49 G, 21 GS (160.0 IP, 38 ER, 51 BB, 174 K)... Klein was named IL Player of the Month of August (4-0, 1.03 in 5 GS; 34.0 ip, 4 er, 46 k) -- becoming just 2nd Pig all-time to win the award (Andy Tracy, June '10).
- For Starters!: Since 7/5, LHV's rotation is 32-12, 2.50 in 55 GS (331.1/92) w/ 15 scoreless starts.
CODY SM-ASCHE: 3B Cody Asche (2-4) has hit safely in 9 of his last 11 G (14-40, .350-3-8, 4 2B, 5 BB, 9 R) as well as in 20 of his 23 G since being optioned from PHI (26-86, .302-4-11, 6 2B, 10 BB, 15 R)... Going back to 7/20/13, the 26-year-old has hit safely in 48 of last 56 G in the IL (70-218, .321-13-34). CEDRIC THE ENTERTAINER: OF Cedric Hunter has hit safely in 9 of his last 12 G (13-36, .361-1-6, 2B, 2 BB, 4 R) as well as in 19 of his last 28 G since July 26 (28-87, .322-4-19, 3 2B, 10 R)... As for hitting in the clutch, the 28-year-old is batting .382-2-42 (34-89) with RISP.

- With a win today, Buchanan will tie the LHV franchise record for career wins with 24, set by RHP Drew Carpenter (2008-11) LHP David Hurlbut -- who has allowed just 32 HR over 589.2 IP in his career (0.49 HR/9.0 IP) -- is a 6-3, 221-pound, 28-year-old who was selected by MIN in the 28th round of 2011 out of Cal State Fullerton.. Originally selected by MIN in the 35th round of 2009, but did not sign... The Fullerton, Calif., native spent most of 2015 with Double-A Chattanooga (11-6, 3.59 in 17 GS), but also had 2 G, 1 GS with High-A Fort Myers (0-1, 0.00) and 1 GS with ROC (0-0, 2.70)... Ranked T-3rd in the Southern League in wins (11)...
Selected as a 2014 Florida State League (A+) midseason All-Star with Fort Myers (3-3, 2.05 in 11 G, 8 GS).
