Louisville Infielder/Outfielder Hernan Iribarren Wins International Batting Title

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Louisville Bats infielder/outfielder Hernan Iribarren has won the International League batting title with an average of .327. Iribarren, who was recently promoted to the Cincinnati Reds, finished the Triple-A season with 122 hits in 373 at bats. He becomes the first Louisville player since the franchise joined the IL in 1998 to win the batting title.

Iribarren was also named the International League postseason Utility All-Star, becoming the first Louisville player to be named a postseason All-Star since Billy Hamilton in 2013. Iribarren completed the season with 20 doubles, three home runs, 35 RBI and 46 runs scored. He played eight of the nine positions, the only one he did not play is catcher in 2016.
