Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The sixth-place IronPigs (23-35) play Game Two of a four-game series against the Toledo Mud Hens (32-26) -- the Tigers top affiliate. With a 3-0 shutout win last night, the 'Pigs have won three straight games for the first time this season and improved to 3-2 on this eight-game homestand. Although they've dropped eight of their last 13 contests, the 'Pigs are now 5-2 in their last seven affairs... Toledo has dropped three straight to Lehigh Valley and is just 2-5 in its last seven games. Still, the Mud Hens are 14-9 in their last 23 games -- improving from 18-18 on May 14.
LHP Joe Savery (1-4, 4.66) will start for LHV against RHP Enrique Gonzalez (4-5, 3.46).
First-Pitch is at 7:05 p.m. for Allentown Cardinals Throwback Cap Night, presented by Service Electric.

With last night's win, the Pigs have won 3 consecutive games for the first time in 2010 and for the first time since 9/3-9/4/09 (swept a DH on 9/4)... and for the first time in 3 straight days since 8/21-8/23/09... LHV's last 4-game winning streak was 8/20-8/23/09... and last 5-game streak was during a franchise-long 7-gamer 6/14-6/20/09.
