JACKSON, TENN. - The Seattle Mariners have announced the following roster moves that affect the Generals roster prior to tonight's series opener with Montgomery. LHP Nick Hill has been added to Jackson's roster from AAA Tacoma and RHP Andrew Kittredge has been transferred to Hi-A High Desert from Jackson. Also, INF Patrick Brady has been promoted to AAA Tacoma and OF Dario Pizzano has been added from Hi-A High Desert.

Hill, 29, has been added to Jackson's roster from AAA Tacoma where he made 11 appearances, 1 start posting a 0-2 record, with a 9.90 ERA (11 ER/10.0 IP), 12 walks, 8 strikeouts. Hill divided the 2013 campaign between 42 games at Double-A Jackson and 2 games at Tacoma. He appeared in just 2 games from 2011-12 while battling injuries.
Last season he limited left-handed hitters to a .171 average (12x70) without allowing an extra-base hit...did not allow a home run in 2013. Hill pitched for West Tenn in 2009-2011 and again in 2013. In 115 games and 11 starts for Jackson Hill is 9-11, with a 3.40 ERA.
(74 ER/196.0 IP). He graduated from Sullivan East (TN) High School in June 2003 and graduated from the United States Military Academy in May, 2007. He was Seattle's 7th round pick in 2007.
Kittredge, 24, returns to High Desert after appearing in 3 games for Jackson with no record and a 6.75 ERA (3 ER/4.0 IP). In 10 relief appearances this season for High Desert, Kittredge is 2-0, with a 5.40 ERA (11 ER/18.1 IP). Kittredge was signed by the Mariners as a non-drafted free agent in 2011 out of the University of Washington.
The Generals roster stands at 25 active players with 12 pitchers, 13 position players and 3 on the disabled list.
Brady, 26, is promoted to AAA Tacoma for the first time in his career after batting .308 (16x52) with 2 doubles, 1 triple, 1 home run and 7 RBI in 17 games. Brady was the Mariners' 48th round draft pick out of Bellarmine College (KY) in 2010.
Pizzano, 23, has been promoted to AA Jackson after batting .275 (38x138) with a Cal league leading 16 doubles, 2 triples, 3 home runs and 21 RBI in 35 games. He appeared in 126 games with Clinton in 2013 and finished 2nd in the Midwest League in doubles (40), while also ranking amongst the league leaders in average (4th/.311), extra-base hits (T4th/53) and on-base percentage (5th/.392). He led all Mariners farmhands with 40 doubles, while ranking T6th amongst all minor league players. His 40 doubles were the 3rd-most in Clinton franchise history (1. Tod Ronson, 44 in 1987, 2. Vinnie Catricala, 41 in 2010), while his 144 hits ranked T11th.recorded at least 1 hit in 92 of 143 games with an at-bat, including reaching base safely via a hit or walk in 127 games.
Pizzano played 3 seasons at Columbia University and was named to All-Ivy League first team all three seasons and named Ivy League Player of the Year in 2012. He was the Mariners' 15th round draft choice in 2012.
