May 15, 2014 - Southern League (SL1)
Huntsville Stars News Release
(Huntsville, AL) - The Huntsville Stars have teamed up with The Miracle League, National Project Director, Johnny Franklin, Mellissa Meeks and other artists to benefit The Miracle League of North Alabama. On Saturday, June 7th, 2014 join local artists for an art filled day at Joe Davis Stadium from 10 AM to 4 PM. We will also have the PepsiCo Pace Car onsite for everyone to enjoy!
We are asking for some volunteers and other local artists to participate. We need the community's help in splashing some paint for a good cause! We would like to invite the community, parents and children to come out and paint alongside the Huntsville Stars staff and players. This community art event is to promote awareness for The Miracle League and raise funds for their Miracle League Field 6. To end the day, the Huntsville Stars will host the Mobile BayBears with first pitch at 6:30 PM.
The Miracle League will host its Awards & Dinner Banquet Ceremony under the pavilion before the game.
There will be a dedication ceremony for the art mural which is located on one of the stadium walls.
