Lexington Sporting Club Signs Defender Gaël Gibert to USL Championship Squad

Lexington, KY - Lexington Sporting Club has announced the signing of French defender Gaël Gibert to its USL Championship men's team, pending league and federation approval, further strengthening the club's roster ahead of its inaugural season in the league.

Gibert, a native of Thiers, France, joins Lexington SC following a stint with FC Cincinnati 2 in MLS NEXT Pro. Before turning professional, he had a distinguished collegiate career at Clemson University and Oregon State University, showcasing his defensive prowess and leadership on the field.

"I'm really grateful for signing for Lexington Sporting Club. Can't wait to meet my teammates and all people involved at Lexington," Gibert said. "Hard work and commitment will be needed, and I can't wait to work hard with the guys and bring unforgettable moments to our fans!"
