Colorado Mammoth News Release
DENVER - Colorado Mammoth goaltender Chris Levis has been named the National Lacrosse League's defensive player of the week for his relief performance in a 12-11 win over the Rochester Knighthawks on Saturday.
Levis, making his first NLL appearance since the 2002 season, entered the game with the Mammoth trailing 6-2 early in the second quarter. He held Rochester to four goals over the game's final 42 minutes as the Mammoth rallied for its first win of the season. Levis made 28 saves and earned his first NLL victory since 2000.
"Chris came in and did a wonderful job," Mammoth general manager Steve Govett said. "The guys never panicked after falling behind and he made some great saves to get us going."
