Lemurs Take Loss Against Sox

Amarillo, TX - The Amarillo Sox (20-17) busted out five triples as they go on to beat the Laredo Lemurs (16-20) 10-3 at Amarillo National Bank Sox Stadium on Monday night.

The Amarillo Sox struck first with a homerun from leadoff hitter Jason White in his first at bat of the night. The Sox would add another run in the inning to go up 2-0 in the first.

With the Sox up 3-1 they would post four more in the fourth as they belted two triples and two doubles in the frame to make the score 7-1 Sox.

On the night the Sox would rack up five triples and three doubles. They have beaten the Lemurs five straight times in Amarillo and have a 7-2 record against the Lemurs this season.

Lemurs shortstop Anthony Scelfo extended his hitting streak to 11 games while going two for four with a run scored. Brian Peterson, who picked up his 800th career hit yesterday, got two hits in four at bats with a run scored tonight.

Justin Garcia pitched well to earn his second win of the year, as he went six, giving up seven hits, three runs, with five strikeouts.
