
Lemurs Crush Saltdogs

Laredo, TX - The Laredo Lemurs offense pounds the ball around the yard to pick up a 16-6 win over the Lincoln Saltdogs on Tuesday night at Uni-Trade Stadium.
The Lemurs offense started off strong posting the first of many runs in the first inning. The Lemurs would put up four in the third, four in the in the fourth, with the big inning coming in the eighth were they would score six.
The offense led by Javier Brito going four for five with two RBI. Palmer Karr Jr. also pitched in posting three hits, in four at bats, with a homerun, a double, and a single, just missing the cycle by a triple.
Palmer had six RBI's on the night.
Eight of the nine Lemurs in the batting order picked up a base hit against the Saltdogs, with Anthony Scelfo the loan batter not getting a hit in three at bats, he did walk twice to score two runs.
Lemurs starting pitcher Matt Way picked up the win, although he wasn't as sharp as he could be. Way went five complete, giving up six runs, on eight hits, walking two and striking out four.
Saltdogs starter Tommy Palica takes the loss, throwing five and two thirds, giving up 10 runs, on 11 hits walking two, and striking out three.
