Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The first-place IronPigs (55-38) play Game One of a two-game series against the (tied for) fourth-place Syracuse Chiefs (39-52). With a 7-6 win last night, the Pigs took the three-game, home series against the Chiefs, 2-1, and have now won five of their last six contests -- after a 9-13 span (June 16-July 7). The Pigs are now 45-27 since starting 10-11 (through April 28)... The Chiefs -- Washington's top affiliate -- have now lost seven of their last nine games. Still, they've gone 12-11 in their last 23 affairs after falling to a season-worst 27-42 on June 21.
LHP Ryan Feierabend (8-5, 5.52) will start for LHV against RHP Brad Peacock (10-2, 2.10 in AA), making his Triple-A debut.
First pitch is at 7 p.m. at Alliance Bank Stadium.
