Legends Struggle on the Road

BAKERSFIELD, CA - The Texas Legends, presented by Veracruz (visit Veracruz.mx), dropped their second straight to the Bakersfield Jam on the road tonight.
The matchup stayed close for four quarters with 10 lead changes. The Legends took their largest lead of the night in the third, going up by nine. The Jam responded quickly to grab the lead going into the fourth, and the final 12 minutes saw Bakersfield in control. As the clock dwindled the Legends chipped away at a 12-point deficit, knocking down three in a row from long distance, but the Jam had an answer for each. Bakersfield shot 48% and outrebounded the Legends 55-34 to take home the 117-105 victory.
The Legends had six players in double-digit scoring. Devin Ebanks led all scorers with 26, while PJ Hairston and Mickey McConnell added 17 and 16 respectively. Archie Goodwin powered the Jam with 25 points and Ike Diogu added 22 going 10-13 on the night.
