Reno Bighorns Defeated by Stampede at Home

RENO, NV, February 9, 2014 - The Reno Bighorns were defeated by the Idaho Stampede 103-92, Sunday afternoon at the Reno Events Center.

The first quarter had 6 lead changes, but at the end of the first 12 minutes of play, the Idaho Stampede was on top 28-20. Kevin Murphy had 7 points and 2 rebounds for Idaho at the end of one quarter of play, while KC Rivers had 6 points and 2 rebounds for the Bighorns after the first quarter. The Stampede took the lead into the half as they lead 46-41 after two quarters of play. KC Rivers had 10 points, 4 rebounds and 1 steal at the half.

The third quarter was taken over by the Idaho Stampede. They had their biggest lead at 15 points in the third quarter. Reno rallied late, cutting the lead to 6 points to end out the quarter. Pierre Jackson had 13 points and Dee Boost added 7 assists in the 3rd for Idaho. Bryan Davis added 10 points in the frame for Reno.

During the final12 minutes of play, the Bighorns cut the lead to 4 points, but were unable to get any closer and fell to the Stampede 103-92.

Mo Charlo and Bryan Davis lead the Bighorns as Charlo had with 19 points and 7 rebounds while Davis added 18 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Also in double figure for the Bighorns were: Jones (16) and Rivers (15). Brandon Heath contributed 5 assists.

For the Stampede, Jackson had a game-high 28 points. Also in double-figures were: Boost (15), EJ Singler (15), Dexter Strickland (14). Dallas Lauderdale had 13 rebounds and Jason Ellis had 12. Boost also added 16 assists.
