
Legends Start Four-Game Homestand Thursday

(WHITAKER BANK BALLPARK, Lexington, Ky.) Thirsty Thursday, fireworks, the Cat in the Hat and more will be part of the next Lexington Legends homestand.
The Legends will take on the Greenville Drive, an affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, in a four-game series beginning Thursday night.
"It's going to be an action-packed weekend at Whitaker Bank Ballpark, truly something for everyone," said Legends General Manager Seth Poteat. "From one-dollar beverages on Thursday, a visit from the Cat in the Hat on Friday, post-game Ford Fireworks Saturday and Kids Club Sunday, and oh yeah, there's baseball too! Where else would you want to be this weekend?"
The schedule:
Thursday, April 18: Legends vs. Greenville, 7:05 p.m. Every Thursday night home game is a Thirsty Thursday, presented by Kentucky Ale. Beer and Pepsi products will be available at one dollar each.
Friday, April 19: Legends vs. Greenville, 7:05 p.m. The Legends and Kentucky Educational Television have teamed up to bring the Cat in the Hat to Whitaker Bank Ballpark for a special event. Tickets are $12 in advance, $14 at the gate for children attending the "meet and greet" with the Cat in the Hat. Those tickets include admission to the event and the baseball game, plus a Better Bites Meal voucher. Legends players will also be on hand to read stories to children at the event. Adult tickets for the Cat in the Hat event are seven dollars each, which also includes admission to the game. Gates will open at 5 p.m. for Cat in the Hat event attendees. Gates open at 6 p.m. for the general public.
Saturday, April 20: Legends vs. Greenville, 7:05 p.m. A Ford Fireworks show will follow the game. Also, the Legends will welcome Girl Scouts for an overnight campout at the ballpark. For more information on the campout, call the Wilderness Road Council at 859-293-2621.
Sunday, April 21: Legends vs. Greenville, 1:35 p.m. Every Sunday home game is a JIF Kids Club Sunday. Kids Club members receive special benefits such as t-shirts, discounts at the Legends Clubhouse store and many more (More information is available at lexingtonlegends.com). Kids run the bases after each Sunday home game.
