FRISCO, TX - The Texas Legends (12-20) heated up in the second half to smother the Suns (6-26) 126-107 Friday night in Frisco.
The first half stayed close with no more than a six-point difference between the two teams. Keith Hornsby knocked down 3-of-4 outside to lead Texas with 15 points, but after 18 lead changes the Suns went into the break up 59-56.
Texas heated up in the third, breaking away from the visitors beyond the arc. With an 11-0 run, the home team erased a six-point deficit and followed it up with a 12-point streak for their largest lead of the night (+12) up to that point. After shooting 56% outside in the third, Texas knocked down 7-of-10 in the fourth. Gary Trent Jr. set the pace with 13 as the Legends built a Texas-sized gap to hold off the visitors.
