The Lexington Legends hit four home runs, two by Adam Bailey, in a 13-7 win over the Asheville Tourists Saturday night in Asheville.

Asheville took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning on singles by Helder Velazquez and Corey Dickerson, a wild pitch and an infield out. Bailey tied it with a leadoff homer in the third. The Legends took the lead in the same inning when Roberto Pena was hit by a pitch, went to second on an infield out, to third on a base hit by Delino DeShields Jr., and came home on a double to right field by Jiovanni Mier.

Asheville regained the lead with single runs in the third and fourth, but the Legends, who had 13 hits in the game, took charge with a seven-run fifth inning. Bailey led it off with his second homer of the game, his third in two games against Asheville, and fourth of the season. After Pena grounded out, Bryce Lane was hit by a pitch. DeShields doubled to left field, sending Lane to third. Lane scored on a passed ball to put the Legends in front 4-3 as DeShields moved to third. After Mier walked, Chris Wallace hit a three-run homer to right center field to give the Legends a 7-3 lead. Josh Hungerman replaced Asheville starter Eric Stavert and walked Telvin Nash. Mike Kvasnicka was called out on strikes, but Daniel Adamson singled, sending Nash to second. Bailey, batting for the second time in the inning, singled to right, scoring Nash and moving Adamson to third. Pena doubled to right center, bringing Adamson home to make the score 9-3.

Mier hit a solo homer in the sixth inning for Lexington, and the Legends added three more in the eighth inning. Pena led off with a double, and after Lane struck out, DeShields and Mier walked to load the bases. Wallace popped out, but Nash singled to drive in two runs, and a wild pitch and a passed ball produced the Legends' final run.

Eight Legends players scored at least one run, and eight Lexington batters had at least one hit. Left fielder Enrique Hernandez didn't get a hit, but he left the game after two at-bats because of a sprained ankle.

Carlos Quevedo (2-0) allowed seven hits and five runs in five innings, but picked up the win. Asheville starter Erik Stavert (0-1) took the loss.

The series is now even at one win apiece. The two teams will play again Sunday afternoon at 2:05 at McCormick Field.
