Texas Legends News Release

FRISCO, TX - The Texas Legends, presented by Veracruz (visit Veracruz.mx), survived their first homestand 2-0 against the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.

The Mad Ants took off to an early four point lead that would prove to be their last of the game. Chris Douglas-Roberts and Devin Ebanks had a quick response with five points to grab the advantage and the team held control for four quarters. The Legends kept a steady lead over Fort Wayne through the first half, ending each quarter with eight and six-point leads, but once again came out of the locker room on fire and hit a game-high 21-point advantage in the third. The fourth quarter proved to be a struggle for the Legends as they were outscored 18-29 and outrebounded 9-17, but the team managed to hold on and wrap up their 45minute reign.

Ebanks led the Legends in scoring with his second straight double-double of 25 points and 11 rebounds. Douglas-Roberts posted 22 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and a game-high 3 blocked shots. Ron Howard was the game's leading scorer adding 26 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the Mad Ants.

The Legends wore special custom jerseys for the victory honoring Fellowship of Christian Athletes. FCA brought a group of student-athletes and support staff to the game to raise both awareness and funds for the organization. Throughout the game, the Legends auctioned off a number of jerseys with all the proceeds going back to FCA.

The Legends will next host the Tulsa 66ers on November 30th at 7pm on Veracruz Court. The game will be broadcast live on radio-KVCE 1160am-and television-KTXD 47. For tickets or information call 214-469-0822 or visit www.TexLegends.com.
