
Lee leads Otters to win

GUELPH, Ont. â Brian Lee celebrated his 300th Ontario Hockey League game with a goal and an assist to the lead the Erie Otters to a 4-2 win over the Guelph Strom in an Ontario Hockey League game played tonight in front of 4,024 at the Guelph Sports and Entertainment Centre. Geoff Platt added a goal and two assists while Mike Blunden and Chris Greene had the others. Blunden extended his point-scoring streak to a career-high seven games (6-3-9) with the goal. The Otters ended a four-game road-losing streak with the win to improve to 23-17-5-4. Kelsey Wilson and Kyle Spurr replied for the Storm. Guelph lost their third straight to drop 17-23-9-1. The Otters led 2-1 after one and 3-1 heading into the third. Spurr scored eight minutes into the third to make it interesting. Platt hit the open net with one second left ion regulation to salt away the victory. The Otters out shot the Storm 34-24 in the game as Josh Disher posted the victory. The three stars of the game were 1. Lee; 2. Wilson and 3. Greene.
The Otters wrap up weekend action tomorrow (Saturday) when they return home to take on the Kitchener Rangers at the Tullio Arena presented by Arby's. Tickets for the game are available at all Erie-area TicketMaster locations, the Erie Civic Center Box Office or on-line at www.ottershockey.com.
