Cincinnati RailRaiders News Release

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Syracuse Crunch didn't generate the most offense. It didn't matter, because Pascal Leclaire turned back all but one of the shots that came his way.

Leclaire, a first-round pick by Columbus in 2001, stopped 29 shots, and two Syracuse players scored on just 17 shots in the Crunch's 2-1 victory over the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks Wednesday night at the Cincinnati Gardens.

Andrej Nedorost and Mathieu Darche made the most of Syracuse's season-low shot output.

Nedorost scored 36 seconds into the second period to tie the score at 1-1 and Darche tallied the game-winner, his team-leading 12th goal of the season, 6:36 into the third.

Cam Severson was the only one to solve Leclaire, scoring 46 seconds into the opening period for Cincinnati, which is winless in its last four games (0-1-2-1) and fell to 1-2-0-1 against the Crunch this season.

Jean-Francois Damphousse made 15 saves for the Ducks, who finished 0-for-7 on the power play.

Cincinnati plays Friday at Chicago.
