Bulldogs Earn Fifth Shutout of Season

The Hamilton Bulldogs extended their road winning streak to seven games as they shutout the St. John's Maple Leafs 3-0 at Mile One Stadium in St. John's on Wednesday night.

Bulldogs goaltender Ty Conklin recorded his third shutout of the season, as he stopped all 29 St. John's shots. Conklin also earned his eleventh win, which is currently tops in the AHL.

The Bulldogs had goals from three different scorers on Wednesday, including: Jani Rita, Tomas Plekanec and Fernando Pisani.

On special teams the Bulldogs and Maple Leafs were 0 for 4 on the power play.

The Bulldogs remain first overall in the AHL with 43 points on the season. Hamilton is 15 games above the .500 mark with a record of 21 wins, 6 losses, 1 tie and 2 overtime losses.

The win also extended the Bulldogs road unbeaten streak to seven games, which ties a franchise mark that was originally set between Jan. 9, 1998 to Jan. 30, 1998 (3 wins, 4 ties)

The Bulldogs next action takes place on Friday, December 13th, as they make their only trip to Grand Rapids this season to face the Griffins.
