Augusta GreenJackets News Release
North Augusta, SC: The Augusta GreenJackets, South Atlantic League affiliate of San Francisco Giants, won 3-2 in game one of their doubleheader with the Hagerstown Suns. Game two of the series was cancelled and will not be made up.
In game one of the series, Heliot Ramos would give the GreenJackets a 2-1 lead in the third inning with a two-run home run. This was his ninth home run of the season. The game would eventually go to extra innings after Hagerstown tied the score at two. In extras, with Ismael Munguia on at third, a balk on the pitcher would bring Munguia home.
The GreenJackets would go on to win the game 3-2 and the series 2-0 over the Suns. Now the Greenville Drive head to SRP Park for a four-game series. First pitch tomorrow is set for 7:05 pm.
Before game one, we will be inducting Kevin Youkilis into the Augusta GreenJackets Hall of Fame. It will also be ladies night, with kids run the bases postgame. Gates open at 6 pm. Get your tickets at www.greenjacketsbaseball.com!
