Arkansas Travelers News Release

North Little Rock, AR - Trailing 2-0 through seven innings, the Arkansas Travelers scored once in the eighth and twice in the ninth to come from behind and walk-off against the Northwest Arkansas Naturals on Monday night at Dickey-Stephens Park.

DH Alex Yarbrough led off the ninth with an opposite-field double down the left field line. 1B Eric Aguilera then fouled off six straight pitches before lining a game-tying double to left. After an 2B Andrew Daniel single put runners on the corners with no outs, RF Jabari Henry struck out. C Jose Briceno then bounced a ball up the middle that second baseman Carlos Garcia tried to throw home to prevent the game-winning run from scoring, but was well late with the throw.

The walk-off win was the second for Arkansas in three games (both against Northwest Arkansas).

The Travs have won three games in a row and six straight against the Naturals.

NWA starter RHP Alec Mills was brilliant on Monday. The righty twirled seven scoreless innings and allowed just two hits with no walks and a career-high 11 strikeouts.

Travs starter RHP Jordan Kipper took two line drives off his left leg and was forced to leave the game in the fourth inning.

RHP Danny Reynolds (W, 1-3) earned the win with a scoreless ninth after escaping a runners on second and third jam.

In the eighth, LF Bo Way singled and 3B Angel Rosa laced an RBI triple to get the Travs on the board. The three-bagger was Rosa's second in three games.

RHP Zach Nuding worked two scoreless innings for Arkansas to keep it a two-run deficit at the time.

Briceno went 3-for-3 in nabbing attempted base stealers and is now 15-for-17 (88.2%) with the Travs.

With the win, Arkansas improved to 27-36 on the season. The two teams will conclude the four-game series on Tuesday night at Dickey-Stephens Park. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m.
