
Last Week to Register for Stars' Annual Local Player Tryouts on September 30

SALT LAKE CITY - This marks the last week to secure a spot at the annual open tryout for the Salt Lake City Stars, the official NBA G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz, which is taking place on Saturday, Sept. 30, presented by University of Utah Health.
All registered participants will receive an official Stars tryout jersey and Stars ticket voucher to be used at a game of their choice during the 2023-24 season. The tryout is open only to participants and credentialed media members - no public or family viewing.
The open tryout offers prospective players an opportunity to showcase their talents in front of basketball executives of the Stars and Utah Jazz while competing to earn an invitation to the NBA G League team's training camp in October. Participants must meet NBA G League eligibility requirements, including the minimum age of 18 years old, and should be prepared for team drills, individual skill work, and scrimmages.
To secure a spot before it is too late, participating players are asked to complete an eligibility form and submit a $250 non-refundable application fee. Registration instructions and documents can be found here. Tryout spots are limited - open to the first 125 people who complete registration and payment. Registration will be accepted online only ( no walk-ups day of).
Following tryouts, NBA G League teams can designate up to five players as "Local Tryout Players" for their team training camp.
