Brooklyn Cyclones News Release

Brooklyn, NY, August 15, 2007 - Native Brooklynite and TV personality Larry King will return to his roots on Monday, August 20th when he and his family appear at KeySpan Park in Coney Island for the Brooklyn Cyclones' 7 PM showdown with the cross-town rival Staten Island Yankees. Prior to the game, his wife, Shawn, is scheduled to sing the National Anthem while his two children, Chance, 8, and Cannon, 7, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch. King, whose nightly interview program on CNN is one of the longest running talk shows on air, is also expected to broadcast part of the game on SportsNet New York (SNY), which will be televising the game that night.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, and a proud graduate of Lafayette High School in Bensonhurst, King has visited KeySpan Park before. "As someone who fondly remembers watching the Dodgers play in Ebbets Field, I think it's wonderful to see baseball being played in Brooklyn again," said King. "This is like a homecoming for me, and to be able to bring my family along and have them participate in the evening's festivities makes it even more special."

Another Brooklyn native, Lee Mazzilli, who won a World championship with the New York Mets in 1986, will also be in attendance for Monday's game in celebration of Italian Heritage Night, and will be broadcasting on SNY. The first 2,500 fans entering the ballpark will receive a Lee Mazzilli bobblehead doll. Tickets are available by phone at 718-507-TIXX (8499), or online at www.brooklyncyclones.com.
