November 27, 2019 - Canadian Football League (CFL) - Calgary Stampeders News Release

The Calgary Stampeders have signed national fullback William Langlais, who was scheduled to become a free agent in February.

The 29-year-old from Gatineau, Que., who now resides in Calgary year-round has spent his entire five-year career with the Stampeders since being selected in the third round in the 2015 draft.

"Will has been an important contributor to our offence and special teams during his five years with the Stamps and I'm pleased that he has decided to remain in Calgary," said president and general manager John Hufnagel. "I look forward to a healthy and productive season from Will in 2020."

Langlais has played a total of 85 regular-season and post-season games for the Red and White and was a member of the Stamps' Grey Cup championship team in 2018. In 76 career regular-season contests, he has 54 special-teams tackles, one fumble recovery for a touchdown, 13 receptions for 189 yards and one carry for three yards.

He played nine regular-season games including eight starts in 2019 and had four catches for 54 yards, one carry for three yards and one special-teams tackle. He had one special-teams tackle and one kickoff return for 13 yards in the Western Semi-Final.

"I'm very happy to be staying in Calgary and I'm looking forward to 2020," said Langlais. "This past season was very frustrating for me because of injuries and I'm dedicating my off-season to getting healthy and coming back strong next year."
