
Almondo Sewell Named a CFL All-Star for the Sixth Time

(Edmonton) - Today, the Canadian Football League announced defensive lineman Almondo Sewell as a CFL All-Star for the 2019 season.
In 18 games (17 starts), Sewell recorded 35 defensive tackles, one special teams tackle and eight quarterback sacks. He also had one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. This is Sewell's seventh West Division All-Star award and sixth CFL All-Star award.
The 57th annual CFL All-Stars have been named in recognition of the 2019 season's best performers. The 27 All-Stars were selected by 49 voters comprised of members of the Football Reporters of Canada and the league's head coaches.
