
Lancers Edge Saints, 3-2

Omaha Lancers News Release
ncersncers returned to the ice Friday night to take on the Dubuque Fighting Saints. This was the second meeting between the two teams. Dubuque took the first game back in November with a 5-3 win. Omaha called on Zach Driscoll to play between the pipes. Zach is ranked second among all goaltenders in the USHL with a 1.82 GAA and a .934 SV%.
The Fighting Saints got on the board quick in the first period with a goal from Matias Maccelli. Omaha answered back late with a goal from Mathieu De St Phalle. De St Phalle took the puck from the faceoff, toe drug it then snapped it past James Durham to tie the game. With one minute to play, Captain Cole Gallant found the puck in traffic to sneak it past Durham. Lancers took their first lead of the game, 2-1.
After a scoreless second period, Jack Randl scored on Durham five minutes into the third. Jack found the puck off of a one-time shot from Cam Reagan to snipe it in for the 3-1 lead. Late in the period, Dubuque got on the board when Logan Pietila beat Driscoll. Saints pulled Durham for the extra attacker. Lancers fought off the attack to take the 3-2 win over the Fighting Saints.
Zach Driscoll stopped 33 of the 32 shots that he faced.
The Lancers improve to 24-10-2-0 with 51 points in the Western Conference.
