Lancers D Ben Ostlie Commits to Notre Dame

Ralston, Neb. - The Omaha Lancers of the United States Hockey League (USHL) are pleased to announce that Ben Ostlie has committed to the University of Notre Dame. The second-year defenseman from Edina, Minnesota will join the Fighting Irish next Fall.

A 6'1", 190-pound blueliner, Ostlie has registered a goal, 13 assists and 14 points in 59 games this season. A workhorse defenseman, Ostlie has missed just nine games over the last two seasons while compiling two goals, 21 assists, 23 points and 146 penalty minutes in 113 career games with the Lancers.

Originally selected 236th overall (Round 16) by Omaha in the 2011 USHL Entry Draft, Ostlie completed four years playing at Edina High School before joining the Lancers.

Omaha (34-27-1, 69 pts.) returns to action this Friday evening as the team welcomes the Anderson Cup regular season champion Dubuque Fighting Saints to Ralston Arena for the Lancers' final home game this season.
