Omaha Lancers News Release
OMAHA, NE. - The Omaha Lancers will take on the Green Bay Gamblers Friday (3/8) and Saturday night (3/9) at Liberty First Credit Union Arena. Because of the lockdown due to Covid-19 in March of 2020, the Green Bay Gamblers would be one of the last teams the Lancers played in what was turning out to be a promising season for Omaha. The Lancers have not played the Gamblers since.
OMAHA VS. GREEN BAY SO FAR:
This will be the beginning and conclusion of the short season series between the Lancers and Gamblers. Though these two teams do not meet often, they have historically been bitter with one another over the years. Besides Lincoln, Green Bay is the only team in the league that both they and the Lancers average over 20 penalty minutes per game head-to-head. In the 53 regular season meetings between these two clubs which date back to the fall of '02, the Lancers and Gamblers have had 41 fights. The Lancers have also controlled the series with the Gamblers in the tier one era; holding a solid 31-17-2-3 record.
