Lambert Promoted, Foster Optioned

The Chicago White Sox and the Charlotte Knights announced two roster moves on September 6, 2021. Both the Knights and White Sox have an off day on Monday.

RHP Jimmy Lambert was recalled by the Chicago White Sox today. In 18 games started with the Knights this year, Lambert is 3-3 with a 4.98 ERA over 59.2 innings pitched. The 26-year-old currently leads the Knights in games started, is second in wins, fourth in innings pitched and third in strikeouts (78). This is his fourth promotion to Chicago this season. He entered the 2021 season ranked as the number 13 prospect in Chicago's system by Baseball America.

RHP Matt Foster was optioned to the Charlotte Knights today (Report TBD). Foster, 26, was recently recalled by the Chicago White Sox on September 1st for the fourth time this season. In 11 games with the Knights this season, Foster is 0-1 with a 3.09 ERA and 18 strikeouts in 11.2 innings pitched. With the White Sox this season, Foster is 2-1 with one save, 39 strikeouts and a 6.06 ERA in 33 games (35.2 IP).

In all, the Knights have sent 15 different players to the Chicago White Sox this year.
