Adirondack Phantoms News Release

The Philadelphia Flyers have announced that Maxim Lamarche (D) has been reassigned from the Adirondack Phantoms to the Elmira (NY) Jackals of the ECHL effective this morning.

Lamarche is in his rookie season of professional hockey and has yet to play in his first game. He has been a healthy scratch from the Phantoms' lineup for the first 11 games of the season.

The 21-year-old from Laval, Que. signed with the Flyers' organization out of Baie-Comeau Drakkar of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League where he was teammates with current Phantom Petr Straka. Last year, Lamarche had nine goals and 34 assists for 43 points in 55 games played for the Drakkar. He also recorded a +31 rating last season and helped Baie-Comeau advance to the QMJHL Finals where they lost to the eventual Memorial Cup Champion Halifax Mooseheads.

Lamarche is a right-handed shot who is 6'3" and 218 pounds. He signed with the Flyers organization on May 31, 2013. In four seasons in Major Juniors with Victoriaville and Baie-Comeau he played in 252 career games with 23 goals, 90 assists for 113 points and 269 penalty minutes.

The Adirondack Phantoms hit the road for three games in three days this weekend beginning Friday night at 7:00 at the Springfield Falcons.

25 Terrific Seasons

Glens Falls is celebrating its 25th season hosting an AHL team and in so doing now joins an elite group of only 12 other cities who can make such a claim. It's a great hockey tradition with an old-school feel that began with the Adirondack Red Wings in 1979 who won four Calder Cups in their 20-year run at the GFCC. The Adirondack Phantoms began play in Glens Falls in 2009-2010 and are beginning their fifth season.
