Lakeland Magic Players Receive First Team All-NBA G League, All-Defensive Team and All-Rookie Team Honors

The NBA G League announced today that Mamadi Diakite was named First Team All-NBA G League, NBA G League All-Defensive Team and NBA G League All-Rookie Team and Tahjere McCall was named to the NBA G League All-Defensive Team. Diakite and McCall were selected by NBA G League head coaches and general managers whose teams participated in single-site play at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort near Orlando, Fla.

Diakite, a flex-assignment player from the Milwaukee Bucks, averaged 18.5 points, 10.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 2.1 blocks and 0.6 steals in 27.7 minutes per game. He also shot 58% from the field, 50% from three and 75% from the free-throw line and had nine double-doubles. Diakite finished third in voting for NBA G League Defensive Player of the Year.

McCall averaged 11.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.5 blocks in 27.5 minutes per game. He finished second in voting for NBA G League Defensive Player of the Year.
