Lakeland Magic Partners with CPS Investment Advisors and Peace River Center on Mental Health Awareness Night

Lakeland, FL - The Lakeland Magic, the NBA G League affiliate of the Orlando Magic, will host a Mental Health Awareness Night in partnership with CPS Investment Advisors and Peace River Center on March 10, 2020. The Lakeland Magic announced the Awareness Night on Wednesday, October 30 at Peace River Center's Lakeland Crisis Campus. Lakeland Magic President Shelly Wilkes and Corporate Partnerships Account Executive Alex Embree were joined by CPS Investment Advisors Marketing and Business Development Coordinator Erica Lupercio and Certified Financial Planner Derek Oxford, CFP, along with Peace River Center Vice President and CFO David Tournade, CPA and Director of Community Relations and Development Ileana Kniss.

"We understand the importance of mental health and want to help people start meaningful conversations about mental health, mental illness and bring awareness to the resources available in our community," said Wilkes. "

All game entertainment will incorporate Peace River Center clients and staff. The team will wear dedicated theme jerseys that will be auctioned off during the game with all proceeds benefiting Peace River Center, a non-profit behavioral health organization that serves more than 20,000 individuals every year.

"Having served on the board for 18 years, Peace River Center and mental health awareness are incredibly important to me. I am grateful CPS Investment Advisors is able to work with the Lakeland Magic and make important awareness event possible" said President, Peter Golotko, who currently serves as Chair of Peace River Center Board of Directors.

The Lakeland Magic will take on the Erie Bayhawks on March 10 at 7:00 p.m. at the RP Funding Center. The evening coincides with the Lakeland Magic's Two for Tuesday, during which guests can enjoy $2 tickets, beer, hot dogs and Pepsi fountain drinks.
