Lakeland Magic Casts Spell on Wisconsin Herd

OSHKOSH, Wis. - The Wisconsin Herd (20-24), the NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, fell to the Lakeland Magic (22-21) in a 119-99 decision at Menominee Nation Arena.

The Magic held the advantage for the entirety of the contest, leading by as many as 25 points in the final frame. The Herd pulled within three at the 1:34 mark in the third quarter, but was unable to edge the Magic. Wisconsin was outrebounded 50-35 leading to 23 second-chance points for Lakeland.

Ricky Ledo led all scorers on the night with 22 points in 39 minutes for the Herd. James Blackmon Jr. netted 19 points and hauled in eight rebounds. Joel Bolomboy and Brandon Jennings each contributed 17 to the effort.

Magic center Byron Mullens notched the lone double-double of the match with 21 points and 15 rebounds in 19 minutes, shooting 9-of-13 from the field. Orlando Magic Two-Way player Jamel Artis chalked up 20 points in 32 minutes. The Magic bench contributed 43 points in the win.

Wisconsin hosts the league-leading Westchester Knicks on Saturday, March 10. Lakeland continues its road trip to Illinois to face the Windy City Bulls on Sunday, March 11.
