BURLINGTON, VT --- In conjunction with a local hip-hop band, the Vermont Lake Monsters have introduced the Lake Monsters new hip-hop anthem. Teaming up with Burlington's hip-hop group, Tha VT Union, the Lake Monsters have created an introduction song to reflect the environment and excitement of the ballpark.

"Like with the Lake Monsters, Tha VT Union is local entertainment that embraces being from Vermont. As a team that is deeply rooted in the community, the Lake Monsters wanted to help promote local talent and come up with a new way to involve and entertain our crowd(s)," said Lake Monsters Assistant General Manager Nate Cloutier.

Tha VT Union is a collective group of four M.C's and two D.J's from the Burlington area that have been performing in Vermont and beyond for the last five years. Formed in 2006, these local artists have gained notoriety and acclaim from working with such famous artists as Mobb Deep, Just Blaze, Big Punisher and many others, and have been dubbed the official DJ's of Burton Snowboards as the company travels throughout the world.

Recently, along with three other MCs, Tha VT Union released their ground breaking CD entitled, Tha Mixtape. The album features collaborations with nationally notable artists such as Wu Tang Clan's Raekwon the Chef, Smif-N-Wessun, and Terminology.

"Members of the group have been performing all over the country and world, and now we are bringing their talent(s) back to Vermont and in our ballpark," said Cloutier. "This group is doing great things; I am just glad we can show off their talent to our loyal fans and this community."
