
Lake County Goes 2-1 Over the Weekend

Lake County Fielders News Release
Zion, IL -The Lake County Fielders fell to the Kenosha County Fielders 2-0 Sunday afternoon at Fielders Stadium. Kenosha now leads the season series six games to five.
Kenosha starter Randy Johnson went the distance Sunday, throwing nine innings, allowing three hits, while walking two and striking out five. Leading the offensive charge for Kenosha was left fielder Jason Dennis. Dennis had a pair of walks and a run scored in the game.
Lake County was led offensively by outfielder Herman Petzold and David Casey. Petzold went 1 for 4 with a single and a stolen base. Casey was 1 for 3 with a double; the only extra base hit by a Lake County hitter
Lake County starter Kyle Frets had a quality start going six and two-thirds of an inning, allowing two runs on five hits to go along with four walks and two strikeouts. Michael Martin and Todd Holmes combined to pitched two and a third of an inning of shutout ball.
