
Lake Charles looking for a name

Lake Charles, La. MonaLisa Drake, CEO of the ABA 2005 Lake Charles expansion professional basketball team today announced a "Name the Team" Contest. According to Ms. Drake, "Everyone in our organization seems to favor a different name; we decided to open it up to the public and hope we can find something really great. And we'll award some nice prizes including two season tickets for the 2005 season, a team hat and jersey and an invitation for two to a team event for the winner." Here's the rules.
1. The name must begin with Lake Charles.
2. Name must not be in use in Louisiana or Texas.
3. No purchase necessary.
4. All winners, names, likeness and voice may be used by team for publicity purposes.
5. Contest is open to residents of Louisiana and must be 13 years or older to enter.
6. Contest ends on December 11th.
7. Ballots can be picked up at the following locations:
Academy Sports and Outdoors, 3901 Derek Drive
UA Lake Charles Stadium 10, 3416 Derek Drive
Blockbuster Video, 4540 Nelson Road
OB's Bar and Grill, 1301 Ryan.
