Lucky seven for Utah Snowbears

December 2, 2004 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Utah Snowbears News Release

The Utah Snowbears heard the whispers and the doubters before their game against Ontario Wednesday, and set out to remove any doubt as to how good this Utah Snowbears team really is. Tucker slashed his way to 25 points in 29 minutes, and Arceneaux added 18 points in 25 minutes as the Snowbears improved their record to 7-0 with a 115-94 win on the road in Ontario.

Jelani Janisse led a valiant Warriors effort with 23 points and 9 rebounds, while Marcus Mason and Henry Aubrey added 19 and 18 respectively for Brad Wright's Ontario team. The Warriors had to play without big man Keith Bean who was involved in a confrontation Tuesday with Eric Chenowith when Ontario lost to Orange County.

Ike Austin preached to his team about team defense and shot selection. The Snowbears responded by holding Ontario to 38-87 shooting from the floor and outrebounded them 59-40. Tyrone Hayes led Utah with 9 rebounds, while Babacar Camara had 7 rebounds to go with his 10 points off the bench. Adam Parada had his usual steady performance with 13 points despite early foul trouble.

Utah shot 51 % from the floor and had 21 offensive rebounds, as they took a 57-37 halftime lead and coasted to an 84-61 lead after three periods. Ontario's record fell to 3-3.

The two teams will meet again Friday in Ontario.
