
Lake Charles Hurricanes open basketball academy

Lake Charles, LA. MonaLisa Drake, Owner/CEO of the ABA Lake Charles Hurricanes professional basketball team today announced the opening of the Hurricanes' Basketball Academy. Under the direction of Coach Neil Laminack, the academy is a four-week player development program whose mission is to motivate and further develop athletic skills by providing an intense program in a positive and enthusiastic environment. The program has two main focuses: basketball fundamentals and strength and conditioning. Plyometric equipment will be used as part of the performance enhancing portion of the strength and conditioning program.
The Hurricanes will be hosting an Open House on Saturday, March 19th from 11am to 1pm at the Purple Heart Recreation Center located at 4305 Ave H.., Lake Charles. There will be a drawing to win a scholarship and Hurricanes' giveaways.
