
Laferriere Signs Entry Level Contract with St. Louis Blues

SYDNEY - Cape Breton Eagles forward Mathias Laferrière has signed a three year, entry level contact with the St. Louis Blues. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Laferrière was chosen by the Blues in the sixth round of the 2018 NHL draft, 169th overall. Thus far in his QMJHL career the forward has accumulated 138 points in 195 games, including a 74 point season in 2018-19.
After being chosen by the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada in the first round of the 2016 QMJHL draft, Laferrière was acquired by the Eagles during the 2016-17 season. This past summer Laferrière attended Hockey Canada's National Junior Team development camp, and this past week he was named to Team QMJHL for the Canada/Russia series this fall.
