Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) will return to MLS Regular Season competition this Wednesday, August 23 when they host the Colorado Rapids at BMO Stadium presented by Metro by T-Mobile. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. PT and will be broadcast live on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV, 710 AM ESPN Los Angeles and 980 La Mera Mera (ESP).

MAUI STRONG FUND

LAFC and official Club partner King's Hawaiian will join forces to support the Hawaii Community Foundation's Maui Strong Fund to support Hawaii wildfire relief efforts.

A portion of the proceeds of sales from the King's Hawaiian Grill at BMO Stadium on Wednesday night, along with matching donations from both King's Hawaiian and LAFC, will be made to the Maui Strong Fund to help meet the needs of those affected by the wildfires.

HONORARY FALCONER

This past weekend, the AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour hosted the Manhattan Beach Open, one of the longest running and most iconic pro beach volleyball tournaments in the world.

Corona native Taylor Sander and Long Beach State graduate Taylor Crabb, both Olympians, claimed the men's title, while the women's title went to Loyola Marymount graduate Betsi Flint and Julia Scoles, a beach volleyball national champion at USC. The four players etched their names in the record books Sunday and will forever have their names displayed on plaques on the Manhattan Beach Pier Walk of Fame.

The newly crowned Kings and Queens of the Beach will serve as the honorary falconers for Wednesday's match honoring them for their historic win.

COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT

LAFC will recognize Song for Charlie as Sunday's Community Spotlight. Song for Charlie is a national family-tun nonprofit charity dedicated to raising awareness about the emerging dangers of self-medication and casual drug use in the fentanyl era and encourages healthier strategies for coping with stress.

The organization partners with experts, educators, parents and other influencers to reach, educate and protect the most vulnerable group: young people between the ages 13-24.

AMERICAN RED CROSS RELIEF EFFORTS / HAWAII

Los Angeles professional sports organizations teamed up to donate $445,000 to help people affected by the Hawaii wildfires. The Angels, Angel City FC, Chargers, Clippers, Dodgers, Ducks, LA Galaxy, LAFC, Kings, Lakers, Rams and Sparks have all came together to support the American Red Cross relief efforts for those in need.
