The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) fell 1-0 to Club León in the second leg of the Concacaf Champions League Final on Sunday night at BMO Stadium. Leon, who won the first leg 2-1 in Mexico on Wednesday night, won the series 3-1 on aggregate to win the Champions League for the first time in club history.

The Black & Gold will be back in action in MLS play on Wednesday, June 7 when they host Atlanta United. That game will kick off at 7:30 p.m. and can be seen live on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.

NEWS & NOTES

This was LAFC's second entry into the Concacaf Champions League, having also reached the Final in 2020.

LAFC is the second MLS club to reach a Concacaf Final twice.

LAFC finished the 2023 Concacaf Champions League with a 4-3-1 record, outscoring opponents 15-6.

Dénis Bouanga finished as the top goalscorer in the 2023 Champions League with seven goals.

John McCarthy was selected as the top goalkeeper in the tournament, keeping four clean sheets in eight matches.

Giorgio Chiellini became the first player to start in both the Concacaf Champions League Final and the UEFA Champions League Final, having done so with Juventus in 2017.

This was just the second time in 13 Champions League games in which LAFC has been shutout and the first since the club's first-ever Champions League game in February 2020, away to León.
