Los Angeles FC News Release
The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) returns home to Banc of California Stadium on Saturday, July 6 as the Club takes on Vancouver Whitecaps FC at 7:30 p.m. PT. The Week 18 contest will be broadcast on YouTube TV, Univision KVMD, ESPN 710 AM, 980 AM "La Mera Mera'.
Saturday's contest will be the first MLS game at Banc of California Stadium since the Club's 4-2 win over the Montreal Impact on May 24. Earlier this week, LAFC defeated Sporting KC 5-1 at Children's Mercy Park with goals from Christian Ramirez, Diego Rossi, Carlos Vela, Rodolfo Zelaya and Mohamed El-Munir.
With a win tomorrow night, LAFC would become the quickest team to reach 100 points in the post-shootout era and the first team to reach the century mark since the start of 2018. The Black & Gold would also be the second team to reach 100 points before the end of its second season (Atlanta United FC - 100 points in 57 games).
Meanwhile, Vancouver will cap off a three-game road trip after tying FC Dallas 2-2 on June 26 and losing 1-0 against Seattle Sounders FC on June 29. Away from home, the Canadian side has a 1-4-4 record. Earlier this season, the Whitecaps FC handed LAFC its first defeat of 2019 - defeating the Black & Gold 1-0 on April 17 at BC Place.
