Real Salt Lake Faces the San Jose Earthquakes Saturday at Avaya Stadium

SANDY, Utah - Real Salt Lake returns to action on Saturday, July 6 to face the San Jose Earthquakes in a crucial Western Conference clash at Avaya Stadium. Kickoff is set for 8:30p MT and can be seen live locally on KMYU and the KSL TV app.

RSL is coming off its second consecutive win, claiming a 1-0 victory over the Columbus Crew on Wednesday night. FW Sam Johnsonnotched his third goal in the last two matches, bringing his season total to a team-leading eight goals scored. GK Nick Rimandoearned his 148th career shutout - his 112th in an RSL uniform - in the victory.

RSL and San Jose saw a pair of draws against one another last season as a 1-1 draw on June 23 was matched by a scoreless draw on July 28. In the 1-1 draw, RSL saw a goal from MF Damir Kreilach cancelled out by a second-half strike from Danny Hoesen. The all-time series between the two sides sits at 10-10-11 with RSL leading the series by goal differential at +6.

San Jose enters the match on the back of a 3-1 loss at the hands of Minnesota United with Tommy Thompson notching the lone goal for the Quakes in the loss.
