Los Angeles FC News Release
The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) suffered its first MLS home loss of the season as the Club fell 2-0 to Minnesota United FC on Sunday evening at Banc of California Stadium. Despite the defeat, the Black & Gold remain in first place in the Supporters' Shield standings with a 19-4-5 (62 points) record.
LAFC outshot Minnesota 23-5 and controlled 77% of possession, but it would be forward Mason Toye's brace that marked the difference as Minnesota snapped LAFC's 20-game unbeaten streak in regular season play dating back to August 11, 2018.
Bob Bradley opted for four changes to the starting lineup from last Sunday's 3-3 draw against the Galaxy. Forward Brian Rodriguez started his first game in Black & Gold in place of the injured Carlos Vela, while Pablo Sisniega, Tristan Blackmon and Lee Nguyen were also inserted into the Starting XI tonight.
LAFC now begins a two-game road trip against Eastern Conference sides Orlando City SC and Philadelphia Union. The Week 27 match against Orlando is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. PT at Exploria Stadium and will be broadcast on YouTube TV, Univision KVMD, ESPN 710 AM, KFWB 980.
