The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) and German Bundesliga Club Borussia Dortmund (BVB) announced the two clubs will face off in a friendly match on Tuesday, May 22 at Banc of California Stadium at 7:00 p.m. PT. One of the most traditional and successful clubs in German history, Dortmund features U.S. Men's National Team star and reigning U.S. Male Soccer Player of the Year Christian Pulisic.
"BVB has set the standard for supporter culture in global football and has proven that you can be a community-focused Club that is successful on the field while putting your supporters and members first," LAFC Chief Business Officer Larry Freedman said. "After personally experiencing the sight, sound and feeling of the Yellow Wall, I was energized by the challenge facing LAFC to live up to that standard. We look forward to welcoming BVB at Banc of California Stadium in May."

Dortmund currently sits in fourth place in the Bundesliga with 51 points and a 14-9-7 record. The storied Club has won the German top division eight times, last in 2012 and won the German Cup in 2017, the same year they advanced to the Quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League.
Dortmund boasts the highest average attendance of any club in the world, hosting over 81,000 fans per match at Slignal Iduna Park, including the largest standing terrace area (24,454 capacity) in Europe known as "The Yellow Wall,' famous for its intense atmosphere and ground-shaking supporters.
LAFC begins its MLS home campaign on Sunday, April 29 at Banc of California Stadium. The $350 million Banc of California Stadium is a state of the art, world-class venue located in the heart of Los Angeles in Exposition Park. It is the first open-air stadium built in the city in over 30 years and will have an intimate atmosphere with the steepest seating bowl in MLS (34 degrees), seats only 12-feet away from the touchline and an 86,000-square foot field of natural Bermuda grass. "The North End" Supporters Section features safe standing and boasts a first-of-of-its kind rail seating system.
