Saint John, NB – The Saint John Flames announced today that Ladislav Kohn has joined the Club. Kohn was designated for assignment by the Calgary Flames last week.

The 27-year-old from Uherske Hradiste in the Czech Republic spent four seasons with the Saint John Flames in the mid 1990's. During the 1997-98 season, the 5'9", 178 lb right-winger helped lead Saint John to it's first Calder Cup finals appearance.

Among all-time Flames, Kohn ranks fourth in games played (215), first in goals (81), second in assists (105), second in points (186), third in power-play goals (26), first in short-handed goals (10) and second in game-winning goals (13).

The Calgary Flames selected Kohn in the seventh round, 175th overall, of the 1994 NHL Entry Draft.

The Flames return to action this weekend as they host their Canadian Division rivals, the Manitoba Moose, in back-to-back games on Friday and Saturday. Tickets for these games and all Flames October and November home games are currently available at the Harbour Station Box Office, the Imperial Theatre Box Office, selected Irving locations (Main Street West, Champlain Heights, Millidgeville, Marr Road, Hampton and Grand Bay), and Charge-by-Phone at 657-1234 or 1-800-267-2800.

The 2002-03 season marks the Saint John Flames' tenth as a member of the AHL and as the primary development organization of the National Hockey League's Calgary Flames.
